Music is really important to our family and I’ve always enjoyed listening to all types.  There’s music on around the house and in the car all the time and my sister and I have been to lots of gigs with the family and friends.  Dad’s a DJ, and a few years ago he explained the basics of mixing to me. 

Recently I decided to take part in the Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, and had to find a new skill as part of the programme.  Having found DJ’ing was an option, I decided to pick up where I’d left off.  I’ve been practicing my skills and I’ve found out lots of technical stuff that I won’t bore you with.  I’ve also been collecting my music and lots of ideas to create a brilliant party.

Dad and I have put together a mobile show with some fantastic new lights and an excellent sound system and I’m now beginning to put my new skills into action.
