Hello Boys & Girls - I am General Waste.

Anytime of the year can be a good time to have a clear out - apart from helping Mummy & Daddy with any dusting and cleaning, it's also nice to get rid of unwanted clutter

Although it might seem old rubbish and unwanted items to one family, it could be very useful to another. The waste cadets and I would like to see more of this 'rubbish' getting re-used

Your old toys & games could be given to a nursery, doctor's surgery or charity shop. Comics and magazines can also be donated. Clothing could go to the charity shops or taken to one of the many textile-recycling banks in the area.

If the grown-ups in your house have been buying new furniture, they can usually sell the old furniture, or again, donate it to a worthy cause

Just one more thing begore I have to go - take a good look around at all the things you have. Do you really need to have your parents buy you any more? Most of us have far more things than we will ever use or play with, so why not save up your pennies for something more important?

Wash out old ice cream freezer tubs and lids. Then you can use them to store all sorts of things and stack them up nice and neatly!
